In Person Courses

Amateur Radio Basic Classes – Fall 2025 TBD

The Charlottetown Amateur Radio Club does deliver in-person classes for the Basic Qualification license. We will teach all of the elements required to successfully pass the license examination.

What does a basic qualification allow you to do?

Speak on your radio across the island and across the world to friends and fellow hams via phone, or CW (morse code) and participate in friendly nets and lots of other opportunities.

Basic: 70% or greater test score gets you a license to operate on UHF and VHF radio on amateur radio bands which includes simplex and repeater usage. This includes analog and digital access. CW (Morse Code) is also allowed.
Basic with Honours: 80% or greater test score adds to your license to operate on UHF, VHF and HF bands (analog and digital)
